Le Lion de Chanel notes
Ingredients (not split into layers):
labdanum, patchouli, bergamot, lemon, vanilla.
Its core is resinous labdanum with patchouli, amber-woody with a leathery touch. Bergamot and lemon brighten the opening, and vanilla softens the finish. Chanel calls it powerful, warm and majestic, yet refined.
Why the lion?
The lion was an emblem Gabrielle Chanel adopted for herself: she collected lion figurines and used the lion on suit buttons, bag clasps and jewellery.
