What differs between the Gentleman versions?
All six versions are Eau de Parfum, so the choice is not a ladder from lighter to stronger. The difference is in the notes: iris appears in the descriptions of four of them, and what surrounds it gives each version its character.
- Leather: a subtle touch in Givenchy Gentleman Eau de Parfum, then part of the heart with iris in Givenchy Gentleman Eau de Parfum Reserve Privée, deepened with amber and smoked woods; our store describes Réserve Privée as “refined and intense”.
- Oud and spice: Givenchy Gentleman Boisée Eau de Parfum is the only one of the six whose description names oud: black oud with the sharpness of black pepper and a touch of iris, over a warm woody base.
- Green: Givenchy Gentleman Society Eau de Parfum 60ml adds a touch of green vetiver to iris and patchouli, and the description of its gift set adds pear and calls the blend spicy woody.
- Freshness: our store describes Givenchy Gentleman Society Sport Eau de Parfum as a fresher, livelier take on Gentleman Society, opening with fresh, sharp notes around modern woody touches in a light, easy-to-wear composition for everyday use. Its description names no specific notes and does not mention iris.
- Amber: Givenchy Gentleman Society Eau De Parfum Ambrée adds a warm amber touch to the Gentleman character with wood and soft spices; its description does not mention iris.
On price, four versions cost the same for each size: Gentleman, Boisée, Réserve Privée and Society Sport, at KWD 38.600 for 60 ml and KWD 48.650 for 100 ml. Boisée and Réserve Privée add a 200 ml size at KWD 70.550. Society comes in 60 ml at KWD 40.400, and Society Ambrée in 100 ml at KWD 54.150.
