The short answer: The word “Absolu” (also written Absolue or Absolute) does not mean one thing in perfume names. In our store, as of 16 October 2026, it appears in the names of 36 in-stock perfumes from 12 brands, priced from 42.100 to 125.550 KWD, and it is used in three ways: as the label “Absolu de Parfum” in 10 perfumes, as a collection name in 12 perfumes by Lancôme and Guerlain, and as a word inside the perfume or edition name in 14 perfumes.
It appears in 10 names: five by Byredo, three by BDK Parfums and two Guilty perfumes by Gucci. The five Byredo descriptions present the edition as a more concentrated, more intense or richer version of the original perfume, for example the description of Byredo Bal d’Afrique Absolu de Parfum: “this high concentration gives deeper richness”. The BDK descriptions place their three perfumes in the house’s “Absolu de Parfum” collection.
At Lancôme the word appears in 9 perfumes from the “Absolue collection”, as their descriptions say, all labelled Eau de Parfum and all in 100 ml, eight of them at 109.100 KWD. At Guerlain it appears in three “Absolus Allegoria” perfumes, 125 ml at 70.100 KWD each.
In 14 perfumes the word is part of the edition name, such as Libre L’Absolu Platin Eau de Parfum, CHANEL Coco Mademoiselle Crush Absolu Eau de Parfum for Women, Carolina Herrera Bad Boy Cobalt Absolute Eau de Parfum, 100ml and Cartier Pasha de Cartier Noir Absolu Parfum 100ml – Unisex, usually with a separate concentration label beside it such as Eau de Parfum or Parfum. The description of Bad Boy Cobalt Absolute says the edition takes the perfume “to the highest level of concentration and strength”, and that of Pasha Noir Absolu calls it “a deeper and more intense version of the Pasha family”.

All thirty-six perfumes with their in-stock sizes and regular prices; “not stated” where the description gives no size.
The price shown on the product page applies at the time of ordering.
Five lines where both versions come in the same size with the same concentration label:
| Line | Size | Version | Price (KWD) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bad Boy Cobalt by Carolina Herrera | 100 ml | Carolina Herrera Bad Boy Cobalt Absolute Eau de Parfum, 100ml | 55.950 |
| Carolina Herrera Bad Boy Cobalt Eau de Parfum, 100ml | 50.000 | ||
| Good Girl by Carolina Herrera | 50 ml | Carolina Herrera Good Girl Jasmine Absolute Eau de Parfum, 50ml | 47.750 |
| Carolina Herrera Good Girl Eau de Parfum, 50ml | 45.900 | ||
| Libre by Saint Laurent | 90 ml | Libre L’Absolu Platin Eau de Parfum | 71.500 |
| Libre Eau de Parfum | 65.800 | ||
| Coco Mademoiselle by Chanel | 100 ml | CHANEL Coco Mademoiselle Crush Absolu Eau de Parfum for Women | 72.850 |
| CHANEL Coco Mademoiselle Eau de Parfum for Women | 69.200 | ||
| Pasha de Cartier | 100 ml | Cartier Pasha de Cartier Noir Absolu Parfum 100ml – Unisex | 55.200 |
| Cartier Pasha de Cartier Parfum 100ml – for Men | 55.200 |
The Absolu edition costs more in four pairs, and for Pasha de Cartier the prices are equal. The descriptions state a difference in four: Good Girl Jasmine Absolute is “more luxurious and more floral than the original version”, Coco Mademoiselle Crush Absolu has “an intense amber character”, plus the Bad Boy Cobalt and Pasha phrases above, while the description of Libre L’Absolu Platin only lists notes. Byredo was left out because its base version in stock carries a different label, Eau de Parfum.
The word alone does not decide that in our store’s names: the nine Lancôme perfumes, for example, carry the Eau de Parfum label next to Absolue, while 10 perfumes carry the label Absolu de Parfum. The full label in each product name is the reference.
The English names of our perfumes use four spellings: Absolu in 17 perfumes, Absolue in 10, Absolute in 6, and Absolus in 3 Guerlain perfumes. Our descriptions do not state any difference in meaning between them.
As of 16 October 2026 from 42.100 KWD for Gucci Absolute Eau de Parfum to 125.550 KWD for 100 ml from BDK Parfums.
Not always in our store: in the five pairs compared in this guide Absolu cost more in four, and for Pasha de Cartier both prices were equal at 55.200 KWD for 100 ml.
