Matière Première Eau de Parfum or Extrait de Parfum? A Buying Guide in Kuwait

Short answer: Six Matière Première fragrances are available in our store in two concentrations: Eau de Parfum and Extrait de Parfum. For five of them, the same amount, KWD 97.500, buys either 100 ml of Eau de Parfum or 50 ml of Extrait de Parfum of the same fragrance. The Extrait is more concentrated, with a stronger presence and longer wear according to each fragrance’s description, while the Eau de Parfum gives twice the volume for the same price. Choosing takes three steps: the fragrance, then the concentration, then the size.

Step 1: Choose the fragrance

• Santal Austral: Australian sandalwood with a soft, creamy character.
• Radical Rose: a bold rose without sweetness, in a sharp modern style.
• Crystal Saffron: a transparent saffron with a sparkling, almost metallic touch.
• Encens Suave: a soft incense with resinous warmth, far from heavy smokiness.
• Falcon Leather: a soft, supple leather without the sharpness of animalic notes.
• Vanilla Powder: a soft powdery vanilla without excessive sweetness.

All of these fragrances are unisex according to their descriptions.

Step 2: Choose the concentration

• Eau de Parfum: the better choice for everyday use, in 100 ml.
• Extrait de Parfum: a higher concentration that gives the scent greater presence, depth and longevity according to each fragrance’s description on its page, while keeping the same character.

Step 3: Choose the size

• 50 ml: a practical size for travel, and the most affordable way to try the Extrait concentration.
• 100 ml: available in Eau de Parfum for all six fragrances, and in Extrait for five of them.
• With Vanilla Powder: Vanilla Powder Hair Perfume 75 ml at KWD 35.600, which can be used with the Eau de Parfum.
