Armani Code: Eau de Toilette, Parfum or Elixir? Differences and Prices in Kuwait

Short answer: The three Armani Code versions in our store share one base, tonka bean, and differ in what sits above it: the Eau de Toilette is citrus and aromatic with lavandin, the Parfum is softer with sage and iris, and the Elixir is warmer with leather and roasted tonka. The Eau de Toilette starts at KWD 40.200 for 75 ml, the Parfum at KWD 51.850, and the Elixir is KWD 54.150 for 50 ml.
Tonka: the shared base
Tonka beans are seeds from South America with a scent between almond, vanilla and dry hay, and they give Armani Code its sweet warmth in the trail. Because tonka is in the base of all three versions, they resemble each other more at the end on the skin than at the start; the real difference shows in the first minutes and in the heart.
Three versions, three openings
- Armani Code Eau de Toilette: Italian green mandarin, then lavandin, over tonka absolute and cedarwood. Lavandin is a hybrid of lavender with a sharper, more herbal scent. Armani describes it as the lighter choice for everyday use.
- Giorgio Armani Code Parfum: bergamot over sage and iris, on tonka and cedarwood. Iris in perfumery comes from the roots of the iris flower after years of drying, and its scent is soft and powdery, so the Parfum comes out softer and more refined than the Eau de Toilette; Armani sees it as better suited to the evening.
- Armani Code Elixir: green mandarin over a leather accord and roasted tonka. Armani presents it as the highest concentration in the line, with an amber character combining leather and spices.

Which Code for day and which for evening?
The Eau de Toilette for the office and daytime, because mandarin and lavandin lighten the sweetness of the tonka. The Parfum works for daytime in the cooler months and for evenings all year. The warmth of leather and roasted tonka in the Elixir makes it an evening fragrance, and one spray is enough in Kuwait’s heat.
