Which YSL L’Homme? A Guide to the Eau de Toilette, Eau de Parfum and Le Parfum

Our store carries three versions of Yves Saint Laurent’s men’s L’Homme, and the house gives each its own character: the Eau de Toilette is fresh woody, the Eau de Parfum a stronger, denser warm woody, and Le Parfum spicy woody. Alongside them is La Nuit de L’Homme, a different perfume that carries the name. All four come in 100 ml, from KWD 48.650 to KWD 62.100.
For fresh wood

For warmer, denser wood
Eau de Parfum L’Homme: it brings bitter orange together with oak and vetiver. The house presents it as a stronger, denser version of the L’Homme signature, with an amber-coloured juice in a vintage-inspired bottle. Bitter orange is a fruit less sweet than ordinary orange, with bitterness in the scent of its peel.
For spices
L’Homme Le Parfum Eau de Parfum: it is built on cardamom and basil with cedarwood, and the house presents it as a warm, spicy interpretation of the Eau de Toilette, in an ink-blue bottle. Cardamom is an aromatic seed with a spicy, fresh scent. It is the most expensive of the four in our store.
If La Nuit de L’Homme is what is meant
La Nuit de L’Homme eau de toilette is not a concentration of L’Homme but a separate perfume, which the house describes as a fresh amber built on contrast: spicy bergamot at the start, then cedar and lavender, over vetiver. It is an Eau de Toilette like the L’Homme Eau de Toilette, so the two are told apart by the words La Nuit de L’Homme on the box.
